The latest news from our place...
April 14th-The Mushrushes called and are breeding their good working female, Spader Good Onya Ginger, again. Last year she produced a wonderful set of pups that have gone on to look really great on stock. One of these is Spader's Stellar Cowboy (Toby), owned by Sarah Williams, MO. He's got what it takes to be a great one in the trial arena! See a video of "Toby" just below these comments.
Congrats to Laura Fuller, her Rowdy son just achieved his CD Obedience Degree. Way to go guys!
Larry & Marilyn Painter of Kuawarri Kennels will be hosting 2 "Cow Camp" Training Clinics in April (7-11, 21-25) at their facility near Cleveland, MO. These clinics allow you to bring your dog in for 2 rounds of work with instruction from Larry each day, and you learn a lot while watching other handlers work their dogs. The facility is a great one, with a large indoor arena, outdoor arena, several pens, sheep and cattle. Larry and Marilyn are gracious hosts, and the atmosphere is laid-back and friendly. 2017 litters planned, here and at other breeders-sired by Albritts Viking Warrior and Spader Vintage Vaquero
Welcome to our breeding program "Waylon" - St Etienne's Rambling Man. We purchased co-ownership of this nice young male from his breeder Tracy Burnichon in NV. He's a bright young dog with excellent type and movement, both sire and dam finished their Grand Championships and "Waylon" has all the potential to do the same. He reminded us greatly of Spader Vaquero Faith, so we are excited to breed him to her daughters to set the type. Total outcross blood for our program-we will be bringing frozen semen in this spring. PRCD and PLL clear, RCD4 pending
We've enjoyed having a litter again at our place this summer, these Spader Vintage Vaquero pups are sharp! They will be going to new homes to compete in Schutzhund, herding, obedience and of course ranch work.
Congratulations Laura Fuller and her "Rowdy" son Rascal ( SILVERDUST I WON'T LET GO UDX ) on your HIGH IN TRIAL and HIGH COMBINED win. Score of 198 at the 2015 ACDCA NATIONAL SPECIALTY! Bred by Morriss Tompkins & Deborah Casey, this cool Rowdy son shows that our lines of working dogs can be very versatile-competing at the highest level of breed competition!

Congratulations to Spader's Checker and Nicole Lichtsteiner for passing their IPO1! Checker is a Brody son out of Spader Vaquero Jewel. Learn more about Schutzhund/IPO at http://www.schutzhund-training.com/
News from the National Specialty-
Congratulations to Sherri Burton and Spader's Blue Kahlua, who won 1ST place in the open bitch class at the National Specialty! Great job guys! It was a large class of 9 in the nation's largest ACD show. Well done! Kahlua is a Brody daughter out of a full sister to Spader Vintage Vaquero.
Congrats also go out to Elizabeth Webber and Spader No Worries Isabel-they placed 3rd in the open herding Calcutta, as well as 3rd in the American Bred conformation class. Isabel is a 2 year old daughter of Spader Vintage Vaquero and Kylies My Shout Mate. Excellent! Kudos to Elizabeth for her training on this dog, and to Stacey Palmer of Kylie ACDs, who bred this dog's dam.
Albritt Viking Warrior's dam, Xena, and his full brother, Squeeky, made the long trip over from Denmark and had a great Specialty. Xena placed in Advanced Cattle, and Squeeky placed in Started Cattle and Sheep. They even stopped in for a visit at our place, it was good to have them here!
Larry Painter's good dog "Ruck" was High In Trial on cattle and sheep in the day II trials-this super dog shares a maternal grandam with "Brody" and is a nephew to our old dog "Hazer".
Over the last 20 years we have sold working dogs to 33 states, as well as Denmark, Swtizerland, France, and Canada. We're proud to concentrate our breeding program on solid working cattle dogs, and are pleased to share them with cattlemen and women across the US and beyond.
